Dr. Richard John "Dick" Stabile, DDS, passed away on March 12, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida, at the age of 85.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Richard dedicated his life to both his profession and his family. He built a successful dental practice in New York and was known for his commitment to his patients and community. Beyond his career, he proudly served in the Army, demonstrating his dedication to service in multiple facets of his life.
Richard raised his family on Long Island, where he was an active member of the community. A devout Roman Catholic, he volunteered at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Centerport, New York. His faith and generosity were evident in the time he devoted to helping others.
He had a deep love for Mets baseball and enjoyed collecting and working with model trains. His passion for these hobbies brought him great joy throughout his life. Additionally, he served on several board memberships, contributing his expertise and leadership to various organizations.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his children, Richard, Aleen, Meredith and daughter in law Darcy; his cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Dante, Paige, Max, and Taylor; his brother Kenneth; his sisters in law Roseanne and Kathleen; his brothers in law Robert and Brian; his sister in law Arlene and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Peter and sister in law Judith.
Dr. Richard Stabile will be remembered for his dedication to family, faith, and community. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
