Rudolph J. De Riso Obituary

De Riso, Rudolph John (Rudy), 93, of Cold Spring Harbor, passed away peacefully at his home on March 1, 2025. Rudy graduated from Hofstra College in 1954 and was very proud to then serve 2 years in the US Army in Germany. Following that, he worked at Grumman Aerospace for 10 years. Truly an entrepreneur, he started his own business, Piper Temporary Personnel, Inc. in 1967. He was president and owner for 30 years. Rudy loved sports. He played football for the Huntington High School Blue Devils, enjoyed playing golf, and loved rooting for the New York Mets, Jets, Islanders, and the Fighting Irish. Rudy’s wise counsel, quiet humility and loving presence will be sorely missed. Visitation at M.A. Connell Funeral Home in Huntington Station on Wednesday, March 5, 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
