Please share a memory of Julie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Julie Kay Feltman, age 60, died from neuroendocrine cancer at her home in Huntington, N.Y. surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Julie was born on August 8, 1964 in Evanston, I.L. to Jean and the late Robert Kay. She was the oldest of three children and is survived by her younger sister, Pamela Stanton, and younger brother Timothy Kay. Julie was raised in Northfield, I.L. and attended New Trier High School followed by Duke University where she played on the golf team and received a B.S. in Zoology. Following college, Julie moved to Long Island where she met her late husband Eric Feltman. They married on March 11, 1989 in Northfield, I.L. After marrying, Julie and Eric worked together running the golf operation at North Shore Towers in Floral Park, N.Y. for six years before beginning at Engineers CC in Roslyn, N.Y. While having three young children, Julie went on to earn a double masters in Biology and Chemistry from C.W. Post and then started her new career as a teacher at Locust Valley Middle and High School. While she was there, she coached both the girls and boys golf teams and made a lasting impression on her students. Julie is survived by her three children, Sarah Velez (Brennen), Rachel, and Aaron. Julie valued family above all else and her children were her pride and joy. She had an infectious laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. Her kindness and compassion will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Services for Julie will be held at The Congregational Church of Huntington, UCC at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 28. Private graveside services and interment will be held in the Beth Emeth Cemetery in Loudonville on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in honor of Julie to the Eric Feltman Memorial Foundation, https://birdease.com/30017/donate.
