Monahan, John Edward, 76, of East Northport, passed away February 9th, 2025. Beloved husband of 19 years to Cecilia Alvarez. Loving father of Amy and James Monahan, Laura Conte (Stephen), Lannelle Alvarez, Latice Padre (Jorge), and Louise Hurtado (Paul). Adoring grandfather affectionally known as “Papa.” John was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and recipient of a Purple Heart. John is loved and will be missed by his family. Visitation held at M.A Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Avenue, Huntington, Wednesday 6 to 8 PM. John will be Interred at Long Island National Cemetery on Monday February 17, 2025 at 10 AM.
