Obituary of Madeline Grace Kaplan

It is with great sadness and broken hearts we share Madeline Grace Kaplan, 77, passed away January 30, 2025 in Georgia with her children at her hospital bedside—their loving hands holding hers.

A beloved mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, aunt, great aunt and friend, she will forever be remembered for her kindness, compassion and a smile that could light up any room.

Born January 16, 1948 in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of Joseph and Alexandra “Elsie” Greco. Madeline was predeceased by her loving husband of 27 years, Merwyn “Mike” Kaplan. She is survived by her daughter, Ellisa Zino (Thomas); son, Brad Bono (Tamara); grandchildren, Madison and Ashley; brother, Robert Greco (Susan); stepchildren, Cheryl Lesser (Michael), Fred Kaplan (Celeste) and Stefan Kaplan (Gabriella); step-grandchildren, Samantha, Jake, Sofia and Nicole.

Madeline had a creative spirit and loved painting, decorating and celebrating every holiday to the fullest. She cherished talking with her lifelong friends daily. But most of all, she loved her family. Family to her was her absolute everything. She will be deeply missed by all who adored her.
