Richard Robert Appiarius, “Duke,” of Huntington,NY and Marco Island, FL, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at the age of 89. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia, and his beloved daughters Deirdre Levine, Maureen Appiarius (Benjamin Ciuffo), and Patricia Caiola (the late Joseph); as well as his cherished grandson Michael Caiola.

Richard was a proud and long-time veteran of both FDNY, Ladder 4, and the United States Air Force. His unparalleled wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed by his loving family and friends.
