Robert H. Biernacki
November 4, 1928 – January 25, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert H. Biernacki, who peacefully left us on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the age of 96. A man of remarkable integrity, with a sharp wit and humor. Bob’s life was defined by his love for his family, his service to his country, and his career in the radio industry.
A proud veteran of the Korean War, Bob’s time in service shaped much of his life. After returning home to Patchogue, NY he went to St Lawrence University where he met the lovely Louise. They married in 1957 and together raised four children in Huntington, NY, creating a home filled with love and laughter.
Bob went on to have an illustrious career in the radio industry, where he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of his colleagues. Starting out in radio sales, to WABC, then WOR and eventually founding Biernacki Brokerage.
Throughout his life, Bob found joy in his family, friends, golf at Huntington Country Club, Jets football, the renowned Biernacki Easter Egg Hunts, St Patrick’s Day with his green suspenders, and especially his cherished time in Amagansett, where there was always quality beach time, great food and much laughter.
Louise passed away on January 26, 2014 and her absence remained a heavy loss for him. Robert was also predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth, in 1977, a sorrow that stayed with him throughout his life.
Bob is survived by his children, Bobby (Jodi), Carolyn (Ken) and Jennifer (Bill). Grandchildren, Madison (Connor), Craig, Brooke, Will and Thomas. Also countless friends and relatives who will miss his wisdom, and humor. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched and the world is certainly less bright without him.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in June.
