My sincerest sympathies to the entire Massa family.
I want to pay my respects and offer my thoughts about this amazing man.
Mr. Massa was a teacher who had a profound effect on me. His intelligence, kindness and effectiveness as a history teacher set him apart from most of the educators that I have had in my life. He was fun to talk to outside of the classroom, and my friends and I also marveled at what a great athlete he was. We saw him hit a softball a country mile in a game where the teachers at Burns Avenue opposed 6th grade students. We also knew that he was a great basketball player.
It was a genuine pleasure to be in Mr. Massa's class. He was a true gentle giant.
I remember having had Mr. Massa for class at Burns Avenue School. I remember him as a nice, caring , thoughtful and very helpful teacher . He will be missed.
Mr. Massa was one of the most kindest and nicest man I have ever met. He was always smiling.
Thank you for everything Mr. Massa...I have lots of memories from my childhood of you and being your next door neighbor.
